DESCRIPTION:°°°INDUSTRIAL METAL KOMPLETTABRISS°°° Einlass: 20 Uhr Beginn: 2
	1 Uhr // AK 30€\nMukke: // // After celebrating 20 years since the incepti
on of 𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗥 &\n𝗣𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗘𝗥 in 2024\, founding composer\, vocalist and mechan
ical engineer\nTristan Shone embraces the project’s broadest scope to-date
with Nocturnal\nBirding. In addition to the strong and poignant messaging
contained throughout\nthe music\, lyrics and artwork\, Nocturnal Birding
sees Tristan Shone synergizing\nwith an array of artists from across the g
lobe like never before in his career.\nFrom the artwork\, meticulously des
igned by French artist Lucile Lejoly (Chat\nPile\, Roadburn Festival) to t
he mixing and mastering by Will Putney (Knocked\nLoose\, Heriot\, Body Cou
nt\, Machine Head) to the musical guest appearances from\nFrance’s Fange\,
	 Indonesia’s Kuntari\, and New York City’s Megan Oztrosits of\nCouch Slut\
, these outer creative inputs shine throughout the work. Shone has\nwelcom
ed collaborators in the past\, but guitarist Doug Sabolick (Ecstatic\nVisi
on\, Plaque Marks\, A Life Once Lost\, etc.) is the first genuine bandmate
in\nAUTHOR & PUNISHER contributing creatively on guitar in ways that shap
e the\npersona of Nocturnal Birding\, complementing Shone in melody and wr
ought tonal\nheft. Removing himself from an artistic comfort zone proved f
ruitful\ninspiration. There is literal birdsong all over Nocturnal Birding
\, and\ntransposing those melodies and rhythms to guitar became the root o
f the\nmaterial\, representing a rare coming together of the natural world
	 and\nmechanized sounds.\nxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx\nSince their formation in 2013 in Br
	ittany\, France\, 𝗙𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘 has consistently\nrefined their abrasive\, genre-d
efying sound. Initially rooted in sludge\, early\nalbums like Purge (2016)
and Punir (2019) showcased a raw\, unrelenting blend of\ndeath metal riff
s\, noisy textures and visceral vocals. Over time\, the band\nswitched to
	drum machines and amplified their noise/industrial influences\, as\nseen o
n Pudeur\, Poigne and Pantocrator (all three released during the pandemic)
\,\nredefining their own rules of what punitive music could be. This evolu
tion has\nbeen fueled by a mindset of permanent reinvention\, merging oppr
essive wall of\nsounds with eerie\, cold melodies —a matured vision reflec
ted in their acclaimed\nlater works\, Privation (2023) and Perdition (2024
). Over the past couple of\nyears\, FANGE has embarked on extensive Europe
an tours alongside extreme music\nmainstays such as Ulcerate\, Imperial Tr
iumphant\, and Ken Mode. They've also\nappeared at renowned festivals such
	 as Arctangent\, Motocultor\, or Mystic\nFestival\, performing over 80 sho
ws across Europe alongside a diverse array of\nheavy bands—ranging from sh
oegaze to metallic hardcore\, noise rock to\navant-garde extreme metal\, c
ementing their reputation as a spectacular live act.\nDespite their tourin
	g schedule\, the band maintains a prolific pace\, channeling\ntheir creati
ve effervescence by releasing new material on an annual basis.\nxxxxxxxxxx
	xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
x\n𝗩𝗔𝗟𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗚 were conceived in the German City of Bonn in 2002 and have alwa
ys\nbeen willing to experiment\, shift boundaries\, and while always remai
ning true to\ntheir harsh and sinister musical core\, the Germans have nev
er stuck to one\nparticular musical box while consciously avoiding to beco
me trapped in a\nstylistic pigeon hole. As a result many stickers have bee
n applied to their\nsound: doom\, blackened death metal\, industrial among
others. On their new album\nentitled "Der Alte" ("The Old One")\, VALBORG
take a rather reductionist\napproach. Their new tracks are deliberately k
ept short\, making use of simple\nstructures\, brutal\, while making use o
f extreme vocals and their trademark\nlambasting and relentless drum beat.
Aided by LANTLOS-mastermind Markus\nSiegenhort\, who took on all producti
on roles\, VALBORG have opted for a raw and\nunpolished sound that relies
heavily on the guitars as all keyboards have been\nditched on this album.
Audible influences include all of the band's metal\naspects but also add e
lements derived from punk and wave for example. The result\nof this simpli
fication process are hard-hitting tracks that still maintain a\ndark cinem
atic quality and construct threatening nightmare scenarios within\ncosmic
dimensions\, which fits the Germans' lyrical themes that explore the\nmadd
ening horrors awaiting in the abyss of outer space\, xenomorphic manipulat
ion\nand apocalyptic visions that are often referring to and sometimes tak
en from the\ncanon of modern science fiction literature.
