DESCRIPTION:𝗪𝗶𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗼ß𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻\n𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗦 𝗯𝗲𝗶 𝘂𝗻𝘀 𝘇𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗻
!!! Doors: 19.00 // Show: 20.00\nDesperate times call for desperate measur
es. Taking up arms against a wave of\nauthoritarianism and despair\, North
	 Carolina's premier hardcore band\, Catharsis\,\nhas recorded a new full-l
ength album\, "Hope Against Hope." This record picks up\nwhere their last
material left off\, continuing to push the envelope for what\nhardcore can
do. Catharsis don't retread the ground they broke on their previous\nalbu
ms\, but press forward into ever more abrasive and dynamic territory.\nPol
itically\, they remain uncompromisingly radical in their lives as well as\
nlyrics. This is not a band that has slowed down\, toned down\, or mellowe
	d out.\nSticking to their roots in the do-it-yourself underground\, they a
re releasing\nthe album through CrimethInc. in the United States\, Refuse
in Europe\, and No\nGods No Masters in South America. The band recorded th
e drums with Benny Grotto\nat Mad Oak Studios and tracked the rest themsel
ves. For the backing vocals\,\nCatharsis tapped the vocalists of some of t
heir favorite hardcore bands:\nPoland's Next Victim\, Brazil's Point of No
Return\, and North Carolina's own\nScarecrow and Vittna. Mixed by Kurt Ba
llou at God City Studio and mastered by\nScott Crouse\, "Hope Against Hope
" is as explosive as our times. Twenty-four\nyears have passed since Catha
rsis released their last record\, the split LP\nfeaturing "Arsonist's Pray
er\," though they did complete another song from that\nsession for their d
iscography in 2012. But they have been playing regularly\ntogether since 2
013\, adding Jimmy Chang (of Undying and Sect)\, who left the band\nin 199
5\, to the lineup that recorded the "Passion" LP. It was high time to\nrec
ord another album\, making the most of material that has come together acr
oss\ntwo decades. In fact\, Catharsis has never sounded better. "Hope Agai
nst Hope" is\nan assault on a self-destructing society and a beacon of ins
piration for all who\nare determined to survive.
