Di e Videoarbeit Himmelssturz wurde von IRIS-A-MAZ für d ie PhonoLuxMaschine entwickelt. Die Präsentation als Fries im Foy er der Kinemathek wird zum Raumelement und lässt das Video wie ein Fresko oder Gemälde wirken. Es verbindet Elemente der Renaissance mit den zeitgen össischen Methoden der Medienkunst.

Stürzen wir gerade auf eine Apokalypse zu oder ist das Fallen der immanente Zustand des Universums? En det der Sturz jemals und wenn ja, wann? Gibt es dann auch Hoffnung auf ein e weiche Landung?

Wenn wir daran denken zu Fallen, dann ste igt in uns das Gefühl des absoluten Kontrollverlusts auf, Höhenangst gibt uns davon eine kleine Vorstellung. Und doch kann man den freien Fall auch als Moment der absoluten Befreiung verstehen – nichts spielt mehr eine Rol le, denn alles scheint vorausbestimmt.

The video work Himmelssturz was developed by IRIS-A-MAZ for the PhonoLuxMachine. Presented as a frieze in the foyer of the Kinemathek, it becomes a spatial element, giving the vid eo the appearance of a fresco or painting.
